| Dr. Kaplan is a graduate of Harvard Law School, received his MD summa cum laude from the State University of New York and his postgraduate medical training from Stanford University. Doubly board certified, he practiced internal medicine and hematology for 22 years. A former hospital chief of staff, he has served on boards of directors, including San Jose Health Center, Health Dimensions, Inc., the California Hospital Association, San Jose Medical Group, and the National Health Lawyers Association. He was chair of the Medical Legal Liaison Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association/Santa Clara County Medical Association. Kaplan currently serves on the boards of several health-related nonprofit organizations. |
